COMMUNICATIONS CASE STUDIES

1.) Sun Micro Systems recognizes Themis as a leader in embedded board design and works closely with Themis on many opportunities, such as a CompactPCI single-board computer (the industry's first SPARC-based cPCI board). Designed and tested to meet NEBS-Level 3 telecommunications compliance for board level products, this cPCI board supports world-class RTOS offerings such as Wind River's VxWorks operating systems.

2.) Themis technology was integrated into a solution that provided an intelligent synchronous cross connect for PDH and SDH networks with dual redundant configuration with 99.999% reliability for network protection, re-routing, remote maintenance, and in-service upgrades.

3.) A cutting edge wireless telecommunications company producing systems for data-transmission and position reporting services turned to Themis for assistance in its wireless gateway development. The customer's solution called for telecom hardening (NEBS), rear I/O, and extended warranty. Themis provided a 20MP solution that maintains telecom hardening, rear I/O and met the customer's warranty requirements.
