Themis Computer Announces NATO TEMPEST Certification
of its Rugged Enterprise Servers
Themis' 2RU and 3RU servers provide high
performance and reliability in secured, mission-critical environments
FREMONT, California -- November
13, 2008 -- Themis Computer® announced that its RES-22DCX
and RES-32DCX servers were successfully tested for NATO
TEMPEST certification without the use of an external enclosure.
Themis' Rugged Enterprise Servers (RES) 2RU and 3RU systems
were selected for use in a surveillance program that requires
TEMPEST Zone 2 certification. As a result of the successful
testing and certification for compromising emanations (CE)
conformity, these servers are qualified in for use within
Facility Zone 2 deployments by the Federal Office for Information
Security.
"We work closely with our customers and partners to
design and build rugged computing systems that provide high
quality, superior scalability, and reliability. Our servers
are notably designed to run mission-critical applications
in hostile operating environments," said William Kehret,
president of Themis Computer. "It should be reassuring
to our OEM's and system integrators, that in standard configurations
our Rugged Enterprise Servers are able to meet the system
level emission require-ments for Zone-2 TEMPEST, without recourse
to an external rack enclosure," Mr. Kehret added.
Themis' 2RU and 3RU Intel Xeon Processor-Based Servers
Themis engineers its RES systems for maximum configurability
with one or two Dual- or Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® processors.
The RES-22DCX and the RES-32DCX systems certified for Zone
2 use were configured with Dual-Core Intel Xeon processors.
Featuring multiple expansion slots, extensive high speed
I/O, and multiple storage options, RES-22DCX and RES-32DCX
systems offer users versatile configuration and system expansion
options. The addition of commercially available, off the shelf
networking cards, graphics, I/O, peripherals and other value-added
options provides users even greater flexibility in meeting
current and future system requirements. Designed for operation
use in harsh operating environments, Themis RES systems incorporate
advanced thermal and mechanical design features including;
dual, redundant, hot swappable AC and DC power supply options.
Aluminum die cast front and rear panels, and a 20-inch deep
chassis constructed from strong, lightweight aluminum, improve
system resistance to corrosion, and makes Themis systems attractive
candidates for use in programs where Size, Weight and Power
are essential considerations. All of Themis' 2RU and 3RU RES
systems provide high reliability in shock and vibration environments
of up to 25G @ 20ms.
RES-22DCX
Themis' RES-22DCX, a 2RU dual-processor server, combines
the robust design of the RES family with the latest Quad-Core
Intel Xeon processing power. This new system combines the
Quad-Core Series 5400 Intel Xeon processor and the Intel 5000X
chipset for improved efficiency and performance. Featuring
three I/O expansion slots, extensive high speed I/O, and multiple
storage options, the RES-22DCX offers users versatile configuration
and system expansion options.
