A-PNT (assured position, navigation, and timing) enhances existing selective availability anti-spoofing module (SAASM) GPS navigational technologies with other PNT methods that are not susceptible to signal loss, jamming or satellite destruction. This systems-of-systems approach provides soldiers with trusted PNT information identifies and communicates accurate location, course and time without countermeasure interference.
CERDEC TechnologiesThe Army’s Direct Reporting Program Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PM PNT) and the PNT System of Systems Architecture (SoSA) will utilize the following U.S. Army’s Communications-Electronics Research, Development, Engineering Center (CERDEC) technologies:
- Anti-Jam: Antenna systems that reduce interference power
- DAPS: Dismounted Assured PNT System
- MAPS: Mounted Assured PNT System
- Psuedolites: Terrestrial transmitters to augment GPS, both ground based and air (e.g. UAVs)
Themis is currently dedicated towards developing solutions that meet A-PNT’s initiative.
